At this momentous New Years... Joe Handley thanks friends of A3 who have generously supported the ministry with their prayers and ongoing financial gifts. Thank you to those who have contributed to the current matching gift challenge for Japan. A3 was able to match a $200,000 challenge gift, contributing to leader development and church multiplication in that nation. We are about 87% ($177,891) of our $200,000 and we stil need $22,109 to reach our matching challenge to develop more leaders and plant more churches in Japan...

Thanksgiving week was inspiring!
I spent the first few days of Thanksgiving week listening to one of my mentors, Doug Birdsall – Honorary Chairman of the Lausanne Movement, share about vision in Japan.

I have great news! The matching grant from the The Maclellan Foundation has been extended to December 31, 2013. This grant is targeted for church multiplication and leadership development in Japan. Every dollar designated toward this effort will be matched dollar for dollar up to $200,000 if it is received before December 31, 2013.
Pastor Nobuyoshi Nagai from outside Sendai, the main city in Northern Japan where the disaster struck, captured the essence of the curent situation in Japan so well. When I asked him what they needed, he said,
