Yesterday I heard a report that simply blew me away…
As I was traveling with Pastor Keishi Ikeda (pictured right) from Hongodai Christ Church in Yokohama, he shared with me two powerful stories.
Ochakko House
Since the inception of a tea house "Ochakko House," started by his church in Ishinomaki after the triple disaster of March 11, 2011, 30 people have come to know Christ as their savior. Two of them were baptized this past fall.

Two recent baptisms

While I have heard many stories of people coming to Christ in several Japanese cities the last few years, nothing hit me quite like this. It brings me to tears! Thank you for allowing us to invest in projects like the Ochakko House. God used your generosity to help bring this amazing fruit!
New Vision For Japan
In addition, last fall Pastor Keishi felt the Lord giving him a new vision for Japan… a vision that would lead through the Tokyo Olympics of 2020 and the following Olympics in 2024. At first he was reluctant to share this new vision God had put on his heart but his heart began to burn and so he’s started to share the numbers God gave him: 10 x 10. He asked the Lord for clarity on this and He is trusting God for 10% of the population of Japan to follow Christ by 2024.
10% of Japan following Jesus in 10 years time. Wow! That is a big vision, a vision that our founder would say: “Impossible, Impossible, I love Impossible!” Because that type of big vision is only possible with the power of God.
Join me in praising God for what He has done through the Ochakko House and pray with me as we seek to empower visionary leaders like Pastor Keishi. Wouldn’t be amazing to see this new vision come to fruition!!!
