What a joy to be with our A3 Family in Karuizawa the last several days. Silk and I thoroughly enjoyed being with the team and watching our children bond with our staff families. It seems like every time we turn around, the Lord affirms the sense of family that the A3 community has become for us. What a joy to know that your calling is clear and to work with such a wonderful mission family.
Our team invited Scott Schaum from Barnabas International to share with us and he taught us richly from the Word of God about staying spiritually strong in the midst of ministry. The learning was outstanding and helped us as we strive to find our strength in Jesus for ministry.
The week also proved to be very informative for me as we are just now in the midst of refining our ministry strategy for Japan. We believe the Lord has given us a clear vision for the future and we are looking to strengthen our focus to advance this incredible mission. What an exciting time to be focused on such a great assignment: coming alongside the church to develop leaders and multiply churches!
This week, we’ll be gathering for our annual leadership summit in South East Asia that includes all the ministry partners from the other countries the Lord has called us to serve. It should be an exciting time of focusing and honing our vision as well so keep us in your prayers. The next few weeks are key for us in honing our ministry strategy so your prayers would be greatly appreciated.
We are convinced that the Lord has called us "for such a time as this" to come alongside the fast growing church in Asia and help empower them for the Gospel’s advance. For me, there is no more exciting vision than this because the potential of the church in Asia is enormous. The task may look impossible from mans perspective but “the Lord will build His church and the gates of hell will not prevail against it”. He can do the impossible as our founder has so clearly reminded us over the years!
