Day 8 @ #CapeTown2010

Integrity — the focus of Saturday at Lausanne. Chris Wright gave a good call to humility, integrity, and simplicity followed by Femi Adeleye talking about the problems with the 'prosperity gospel.'

We discussed the issues we face on a daily basis in our table groups and were challenged to walk in maturity as Ephesians 4:17-6:9 became our core text: "Walk as children of the Light". It is crucial that our walk complements our talk and that proclamation is coupled with demonstration. Throughout the letter to the Ephesians, the Apostle Paul talks of the importance of integrity through our walk: 2:2,10; 4:1,17; 5:2,8,15.

As one was quoted, "We have made Christianity unpalatable to many by how we live our lives."

Therefore, we should continually ask ourselves:

    • Does our faith make a difference in our lives?

    • What does our walk reveal?

The key solution: Jesus wants us to walk with him in the everyday of our lives.

John 15:5 "I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing."
