Day 2 @ Cape Town 2010
Today's focus at Cape Town has been Truth... The crucial importance of the importance of truth today in the midst of a pluralistic society.
We walked through an inductive bible study in small groups, diving into Ephesians chapter one. We were reminded of the treasure of the Gospel and the hope we have in Christ alone.
Ajith Fernando, A3 reference council member, then led us through a wonderful exposition of the richness of this passage and the crucial importance of evangelism. (link to video clip) This message was highlighted again during the evening session with a historical video of the Reverend Billy Graham sharing this truth throughout his life. How powerful it was to hear of his encouragement the night before to all of us—to keep evangelism as the center of what we do this week.
Also, during the morning session several shared of the importance of truth in this pluralistic world in which we live. Most profound was Os Guiness challenge of how critical truth is to us and our world. (link to video clip coming soon)
Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father but by me!"
