つぶ す/ tsubusu / = v., to crush

This Christmas season I’m so grateful for the new family the Lord has given to Silk and me. The Lord has blessed us with a new assignment - "A3" and we totally love our new family! We love the people, the partners, and the generous friends of the ministry and we feel completely blessed to be a part of the movement that is occurring across Asia for Christ.

I firmly believe that we’re in a new age of mission – one that is more about "coming alongside" than it is about "doing it on our own." That is why I’m so thrilled about coming alongside of seasoned pastors throughout Asia to strengthen one another for the sake of spreading the Gospel. A3 is a perfect fit!

One story that has captured me recently is from one of our missionaries in Japan... [@more@]He was approached by a mission that has shown itself to be one of the most aggressive and successful church planting ministries worldwide. They had seen over 40 churches planted in his region but haven’t seen much fruit for the last 7 years or so. They told him that they've decided to "tsubusu" or "crush everything" they were doing because church planting was so difficult in Japan. Instead, they’ve decided to take the A3 model and start applying it.

Why adopt our model of church planting by network? Because they've seen so much fruit in it over the last 5 years or so. Wow, what a great illustration of how the Lord is using our ministry as a catalytic influence in Asia.

How fun for me to have A3 as the Lord's Christmas gift to me this year! My wife and I feel amazingly blessed by what the Lord is doing and we feel privileged to be a part of it all.

God bless you this Christmas season and may you have a wonderful new year!
