Silk and I had the privilege this summer traveling together and we were in three different countries in South Asia. We had the honor of being invited to share in different churches in each country and Silk was deeply impacted by these experiences. Here’s a little of what she shared…
Silk's Impression of Three South Asian Churches
“So it was really amazing in the first country where we were we had the privilege of attending a fairly new church plant—very small, but so much energy. That was exciting to attend that service. Then in the second country, we were attending a more established church that had been around for a number of years. I was just touched with how the people were really loving each other and caring for each other. Even the service leader was taking the time to pray specifically for the handful of people who were celebrating birthdays that week. And then in our last country, we attended an open-air service with hundreds of people. It was just amazing to me how large a church could be in in this particular country. But the common theme for all three services was the smiling faces. That transcends any language barrier. So it was really a pleasure.”
It was fun to travel together, and we're just grateful for the way you support leaders like this in countries all across South Asia and across Asia. It's amazing to see what God is doing.
