A3 is pleased to announce the appointment of Janelle Stoops as its new U.S. President, effective January 23, 2026. Janelle brings a wealth of experience in global missions leadership, organizational strategy, and cross-cultural engagement, making her uniquely qualified to lead A3’s U.S. ministry into its next chapter of growth and impact.
As U.S. President, Janelle will serve as the chief leader of A3’s U.S. operations by overseeing staff and donor development, as well as closely collaborating with our CEO, Joe Handley, in board engagement and contributing to the Global Leadership Team. Her focus will be on advancing A3’s mission of developing Christlike leaders who multiply churches and transform communities across Asia and beyond.
Janelle's career spans nearly three decades of leadership in global mission organizations. Most recently, she served on the U.S. Director Team of Frontiers USA, where she oversaw 140 staff and 600 field workers, spearheaded organizational change initiatives, and launched innovative strategies, including AI integration for staff development. Her experience includes strategic leadership roles, multicultural team development, and pioneering mission efforts in Central Asia. Janelle holds an M.A. in Organizational Leadership from Regent University and a B.A. in Communication Studies from UCLA, graduating with honors.
Distinctives and Thought Leadership
Janelle is known for her joyful collaboration, cultural agility, and commitment to clarity in complex environments. As a marathon runner, she brings endurance and discipline to every endeavor. Her influence extends beyond organizational leadership into thought leadership, having contributed to the book Leading Well in Times of Disruption and authored articles such as “Wielding AI Tools with Wisdom” in Mission Frontiers. She is a sought-after speaker at global conferences, including Urbana Student Missions Conference, MissioNexus, and Grand Canyon University, and serves on boards and advisory teams dedicated to leadership development and missions.
