Changing the Few Who Change the Many: Reflections on the Missiological Summit 2025
Last month, I had the privilege of engaging with leaders from across Asia and around the world at the Missiological Summit 2025 in Sri Lanka. The gathering was nothing short of inspiring.
Over six days, Christian leaders came together to wrestle with what it means to fulfill the Great Commission in today’s world. From the opening call to proclaim salvation through Christ alone, to the closing charge to “go and make disciples of all nations”, the Summit carried a strong current: mission is not optional, it is the heartbeat of the Church.
A3’s DNA in Action
What thrilled me most was watching many of our A3 alumni catalyze these mission movements. They weren’t just attending; they were leading sessions, shaping conversations, and rallying prayer for the nations. Their fingerprints were evident in themes like:
- Abiding in Christ – reminding us that deep intimacy with Jesus fuels lasting fruitfulness.
- Holistic Mission – embracing word and deed together as a full expression of the gospel.
- Spiritual Health of the Messenger – underscoring that who we are matters as much as what we do.
- Asian Worldviews and Radical Grace – contextualizing the gospel in ways that resonate authentically in culture. This is exactly what we mean when we talk about A3’s vision of “Changing the Few who Change the Many.” We intentionally invest in leaders who then multiply influence far beyond themselves. When those leaders begin shaping gatherings like this Summit, the ripple effect is exponential.
Why This Matters
Asia is home to half the world’s population and every major religion. It is also one of the most dynamic regions for gospel advance. To see our graduates rally leaders from across nations to pray, strategize, and act on behalf of the Great Commission is a powerful sign of what God is doing in this hour.
As one speaker reminded us,
"The Great Commission is not an elective; it’s a required course for every believer."
Watching our alumni step into this mandate with courage and creativity fills me with hope for the future.
Grateful and Expectant
Moments like these reaffirm why A3 exists. We come alongside leaders, develop them in Christ-like character, and send them back to their contexts—stronger, healthier, and more fruitful. And then we get to watch as they in turn change the many: their churches, their nations, and even entire regions.
Please keep praying for the leaders shaped by A3 and for the movements they are catalyzing. What God is doing through them is nothing less than world-changing.
