GRADUATE TESTIMONIAL FROM A3/PHILIPPINES
Before coming to A3, I was a leader in a liminal space—transitioning from what was to what is about to come. I felt anxious, doubtful, and undeserving of this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. But the invitation I heard from God through our first quiet time during the A3 retreat at the Christian Development Centre in Tagaytay was:
“Come, rest, and learn from Me.”
Starting my journey of transformation & realignment
Little did I know that it will be the start of a journey to accept Jesus’ invitation to come to the other side—to witness and experience transformation in my relationship with God, in my perspective of discipleship and leadership, and in my family life. God re-aligned my vision, attitude, and heart as a woman in ministry, a leader to the young people, and as a wife and mother.
I realized that the highest form of intimacy with God and love for others is truth—the authenticity of who I am, fully human with all the imperfections, yet being transformed day by day until we glory in Christ. I am a broken clay pot, hard pressed on every side but not crushed, being used by the Lord to lead others to Him.
God enabled me to see that He is at work in and through little, weak, hidden places and people—like me.
"Being" over "doing"
With that reality, I was encouraged to focus on nurturing my “being” and “becoming” with God rather than just “doing” and “performing”. I was also challenged to embrace the power of Christ in my powerlessness and show the Kingdom presence through the perspective of love and care for His people.
Mission is everywhere all the time
Throughout this A3 journey, God humbled me by this truth: mission is not confined to a place, position/titles, or events—it’s everywhere and at all times. I hope to influence the younger generation to pursue deep transformation rather than behavioral modification. I wish for them to anchor their value and identity in Christ, know and embrace their calling and assignment, and be faithful and fruitful in obedience to and for Christ.
My ministry of love
Lastly, I thank God for letting me see that the everyday ordinary acts of love are my ministry. He’s with me when I wash piles of dishes, clean the sticky hands of my child, and appreciate the sketches of my husband. For I’m not just raising a kid; I am raising a disciple of Christ. I’m not just supporting my husband; I’m reflecting the love of Christ.
May the Lord enable me to be an authentic leader in whatever sphere of influence He will provide, a spiritual companion who facilitates awareness of one’s walk in the Lord, and a faithful nurturer to my family.
