Wisdom from A3/Philippines Alumnus Lito Sampan

Walking in the wilderness.

“By day the Lord went ahead of them in a pillar of cloud to guide them on their way and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so that they could travel by day or night. Neither the pillar of cloud by day nor the pillar of fire by night left its place in front of the people.”
— Exodus 13:21-22

Just like the Israelites, when God saved us; He did not only promise the Promised Land but also allowed us to walk in the wilderness. He will also allow us to face the “Red Sea” to cross. He will make us experience asking for bread and water.

But be encouraged because, in all of these situations, God is with us.  He will make His presence felt by us!

Yes, as we start another day of uncertainties, let’s not be afraid but be assured that His presence is with us. Like the pillars of cloud and fire, He has His way of guiding, providing, and protecting us as we journey and faces the challenges of today and tomorrow.

Let’s put our total trust and confidence in Him. Just like Joshua and Caleb, let’s wholeheartedly follow Him. Let’s fully trust and obey Him.

O Lord, make my heart in tune with your ways as I continue marching to the “Promised Land” Amen.
